HOW IT HAPPENED

From Vision to Victory: Crafting The Smart Cube’s Brand Through Merchandise

On a hot July morning in 2019, in the meeting room on the 4th floor at our Noida office, the idea to make The Smart Cube brand come alive was born. The concept was overwhelming and a first in the history of the organisation with many unknowns.


The pre-covid era was a different world and we decided to give ourselves a year to build it. Little did we know that in less than 6 months, the world would be grappling with the toughest challenge mankind had seen in recent history. Priorities changed and we had to shift gears, addressing topical concerns, and doing our bit to help the organisation navigate those challenges.


The Smart Cube merchandise store idea slowly simmered on the back burner, which was actually a blessing in disguise, as we got the time we needed to evaluate, ideate and align on the correct approach.


Many brainstorming sessions and heated debates later, sometime mid 2021, we had an ambitious proposal ready. We could not conceal our excitement and eagerness to share it with the Executive team.

In September of 2021, whilst a bit nervous, the idea was presented virtually to our Executive teams in London, Chicago and Noida, and much to our excitement, a green signal was given! We’ve never felt more proud of the design team and what we had accomplished.

The excitement was short lived, as we quickly got to the execution of our plan. We got a multitude of questions (all valid) from our stakeholders in Procurement, WPS, Finance and PAS whose support and belief was important for this to work.

We got down to meticulous planning, addressing the concerns, negotiating and agreeing on rate contracts. After getting everybody on board and proving our plan to be intact, we were in a good place.


We called it - Collaboration. Accelerated


Brand Merch launch collection was an opportunity for the employees to own, live and become the brand.
